Visually Impaired

Trouble locating objects, it's distance, and name, particularly if they are not in their usual place or if they have been moved. Inability to distinguish between similar objects, particularly if they are not able to see the details that differentiate them. Difficulty assessing the distance of objects, which can make it hard to move around safely and independently.

Our solution

Our device uses an AI model to detect common household objects and then says them out loud for the visually impaired to hear. It also speaks the location, distance between the gadget and the object so that the visually impaired know how far away everything is. This can make it possible for them to be more safe when navigating around the house, neighborhood, and public places. The whole gadget utilizes a portable 3D printed case, which makes it easy to hold and use.
